About Us
The Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) aims to provide high-quality research on many socio-economic issues and nurture international-competitive and responsible leaders for the Asia-Pacific region. We hope it will become one of the world-leading business leadership training hubs for emerging economies in the region. It is believed that ethical leadership must be incorporated into an executive learner’s experience along with the traditional emphasis on policy analysis and formulation.
Our strategy is to establish this new Academy as a University-level, multi-disciplinary independent academic unit. Led by prominent academic, business and public leaders, the activities of the Academy will be well-balanced among academic research, policy research, leadership training, information and publication services, and advisory activities outreaching to the community. The Academy would invite other academic units in the University to develop joint research, education and corporate advisory programmes. Strategic partnership with prestigious institutions in Greater China, the USA and other economies in the region is recommended to provide leadership capabilities.

The Greater China Centre for Private Equity (GCCPE) was established in September 2014 and it was the first greater China focused private equity centre in the world. The centre was started with a vision to become a world-class centre to connect a stellar cast of academics, professionals from the private equity and related industries, entrepreneurial business professionals in greater China to the world and vice-versa.
